Everest Three Passes Trek

Everest Region is one of the popular destinations for trekking in Nepal. Most of the people from inside as well as outside Nepal has Everest Region in their bucket list of travel. From all the trekking that falls under Everest Region, Everest Three Passes Trek is the difficult one. The route to three passes also introduces trekkers to the remote and untouched Nangpa La Valley, the Sherpa village of Marlung and the monastery village of Thame. The three passes trek is challenging trek that includes Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5420m/17,782ft) and Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft).

  1. Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft)

Renjo La Pass is the most passed trekking route of Everest Region which is on the way to Tibet border Nagpa La and Gokyo Valley. It is on the north of Namche Bazaar and east of Thame Village. This adventurous trek provides its visitors to discover the most beautiful and challenging natural part of Nepal. Along with the natural experience, the travelers will get a chance to visit the ancient Sherpa settlements and their culture and religion.  Mt. Thamserku, Mt Amadablam, Mt. Kongtega and so forth are some peaks that can be viewed while on the way to trek. Similarly, the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, pine forests, rhododendron flowers, wildlife and warm hospitality of the inhabitants is the main factor that makes Renjo La Pass trek an amazing journey.

2. Cho La Pass (5420m/17,782ft)

Chola Pass Trek is one of the popular trekking filled with challenges and adventures. The trek to Cho La Pass takes us to the legendary Sherpa village and to the foothill of ‘Mt. Everest (8848m)’ the world’s highest peak. On the way, the view of from west to east as Cho you (8153m), Gyanchung Kang (7922m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8501m) and Makalu can be breathtaking. Not only this but the travelers will get an opportunity to experience forest of Rhododendron, Magnolia, and massive fir with species like Wild Musk, Panda, Snow Leopard, Mountain Goat “Jharal”, colorful “Pheasants” national bird of Nepal.

  1. Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft)

Kongma La Pass is one of the highest passes and is known to be less traveled and less crowded trails of Everest Region. It is situated just above the Dingboche and southwest of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world. During the trek, the travelers will get a chance to experience the natural and cultural beauty of the Everest region. Likewise, on the way, the peaks like Mt. Everest,  Nuptse, Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt Amadablam, Mt. Kongtega can be viewed.
