International Mt Everest Day is celebrated in Nepal and other countries around the world to convey the message to the world about tourism in Nepal, mountaineering expeditions and other adventure activities in Nepal. Also, the international Everest day promotes the overall development and perseverance of Mt. Everest from global warming and remembers the conquerors and honors the contributors. The government of Nepal with NTB and other association of Tourism sectors together organize events on the 29th of May. The events include ministers, climbers, tourism entrepreneurs, and government officials too.

Many news and reports have shown that the Everest has decreased by 2.8 cm which is one of the sad news for many. So it is very important to preserve Mt Everest as it is the source to attract tourists in Nepal. The topic to preserve Mt Everest should be given Focus on the International Everest Day too. Similarly, many of the places were destroyed by the disastrous Earthquake that occurred in 2015. Such places are constructed and need to be promoted. This can be another topic that should be raised in International Everest Day.
